sunshine state quilt
The Sunshine State quilt is cool and breezy, like a late Spring day in the Florida Keys. I chose fabrics with vibrance and texture in yellows, purples, and aquas. It was constructed using a pattern from Modern Handcraft.
The quilt is backed with a charming lavender print with bubbly manatees from Sarah Watts of Ruby Star Society.
This quilt was professionally long armed by Mindy Mounteer of Wild Phil Quilting in a textured geometric pantograph that reminds me of the beautiful architecture of South Florida. The quilt is bound in the same manatee fabric as the backing. I love how the tiny manatee faces appear along the binding to say hello.
Dimensions: throw size, quilt measures 62" (wide) x 72" (high)
Materials: top and backing made from high quality quilter's cotton and woven fabrics; lined with 80/20 cotton/poly batting which gives the quilt durability and loft
Care Instructions: machine wash on delicate cycle, tumble dry on low or line dry
Note: can be pre-washed upon request, which will give the quilt a crinkly texture; please leave a note at time of purchase
Custom variations and sizes available upon request. Please e-mail oh.meaghan@gmail.com for more information!
All quilts are handmade by me and either personally or professionally long armed (as noted in description). My in-home studio is completely smoke and pet-free but I do have two dogs in my home (Fran and Millie!).
